Rebecca conducts both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analyses to evaluate substance use disorder policies and access in West Virginia. Her interests include person-centered care and the impact of stigma on quality of care and patient decision-making.
Rebecca’s policy background and experience with insurance claims data provides a solid foundation for Medicaid policy evaluation research and has allowed her to bring a systems-level perspective to evaluating public health and well-being. Her work at Health Affairs has touched on several aspects of substance use disorder treatment, including assessing access to care, availability of services under current policies, and patient experiences related to care.
