A Pennsylvania native, Katie earned her undergraduate degree from the School of Public Health at WVU. She worked for five years at WVU Medicine where she conducted clinical research with both COVID-19 and cardiovascular patients.
In her role at the Health Affairs Institute, Katie performs qualitative research, qualitative coding, and conducts focus groups. She is interested in mental health research topics, survey design and data collection, and working to bridge the gap between public health professionals and the community.
As a research specialist, Katie specializes in population health and public health surveillance, public impact research, and project management.
